In my opinion,reading is not just a word or an action, it is a feeling that only the one who reads can experience.
Many People could think that reading is boring or not a good hobby,but when you start reading a novel or whatever you want yo read, you get into a completely new world and then it is difficult to get out of it.
Obiously the love and passion of the reader has yo do with the kind of book that the person is going to read.
When you are going to buy a book or ask for one in the library, you have yo see the cover and the back to know what the book is about,because if you pick a book that is not of your interest you will lose the love and passion for reading or never obtain it.
As I wrote before, reading is not just a word or an action,when we talk about reading we are talking about a magic world that we create while we are reading, the world of our dreams.
We can't ignore the fact that reading can help to uinderstan a lot of things and situations that can help you in your daily life.

I agree with you.
I think that reading is a type of hobby (do not forget visiting my hobby's blog)
Reading is a kind of entertainment, I think that if a person only read because of an obligation, it means nothing. People should read for fun, probably some poeple don't like reading but I think that that's because they have not find the book of their interest.
In my case, at the begining I HATE reading... and once i read a book about a vampire and i LOVED it, I could read until very late, and in case of falling asleep, I could't stop reading.
